OK, I really do not know where to start on this one. We had a $250,000 Ford GT-40 & a Rolls Royce. We had a Groom who didn't know if he wanted to wear a Bruins or Habs jersey. A Bride & Groom who sang to all the guests. A Bride who threw the garter & a groom who threw the bouquet. What a crazy, crazy day. However, the pictures, way to fun. I swear these two took modeling classes before they came today. Enough blah blah blah! here's the shots

being a photographer i obviously love cool photography ideas. one of the things i do every now and then is provide my clients with a time lapse video and they always love it. being a disney geek, i love all things disney. this time lapse that disney put together combines both and i absolutely love it, especially the use of the tilt shift lens (man i need one of those)

it's been a very busy summer around these parts. people have come, people have gone, but our family is still here. unfortunately because of the amount of weddings this summer my family photo's, especially those of max, have been pretty much non existent. i decided to spend a few minutes going through the numerous images that sit on my hard drive and put a few up for you too see. hope everyone had a great summer, and remember christmas is only ...... ahh! never mind it's still too early.

Friday I was back at Brock again, this time for some portraits and some fun and games. I started off with some very casual portraits of a few of the undergrads, then it was on to the fun and games. They had water balloon dodge ball, and as fun as it was shooting from the sidelines, I just had to get in the middle of the action. Needless to say, me and my gear came out a little bit wet, but cleaner as well. There was also a dunk tank and some jousting going on. Working with the Faculty of Business has been a blast, I mean even the Associate Dean was getting in on the fun. Here's a few few pics from the day

I finally had the opportunity to second shoot on Saturday, and of course it was with one of my good friends Amanda Lachapelle. I Started off with the guys in Chippawa then headed in to Niagara Falls to the Botanical Gardens to meet up with the rest of the crew. the rest of the day was split three ways between there, Dufferin Islands & the Double Tree Resort. So, here is my take on second shooting.

Saturday was another beautiful day, clouds and light rain in the morning to cool things off then sunshine by late afternoon. We started off in Welland at the Salon then headed out to Cheryl's parents house in Long Beach. After the ladies got ready, Joel & I met up at Legends on the Niagara where the rest of the day was to take place. What else can I say except everything went off without a hitch, well everything with exception of me getting soaked from laying down on wet grass to get a photo I had to have (group silhouette). Thanks for the great day guys, here's a few pics to tie you over till album time.

What a day, hot hot hot hot hot! That's alright though because we had a fierce & saucy bride and a groom who found more than just "one look". We started off in Ft. Erie at Melissa's Mom's house, it was like being at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, how awesome. then up to Fonthill for the ceremony and down to Decew falls for formals. Finally we headed over to Club Roma to finish up the evening. Great party, great people, great times as always with you guys. Have fun in London & Paris you guys, we'll see you when you get back.

Well, Saturday was our big day. We shot our first "Celebrity" wedding. If you remember we did an s-sesh for c & s about a month ago, running it really close to the wedding but their busy schedules kept conflicting. Saturday came and we had a blast, shooting in Niagara on the Lake at some venues I have never before shot at. We had a bit of rain, well more than a bit if you recall, however there was almost no rain at all (again) when it came time to do some formals. Enough yadda yadda yadda, check out the shots.....well at least the ones I can show you.

Sarah and Derek were married this past weekend in Ancaster. The day started out great and never stopped getting better. I hung out with the ladies in morning and then met up with everyone else at the "Old Mill" in Ancaster. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, blue skies and white clouds, could not ask for any better. Earlier this week I had one of my last shoots for the first leg of the Brock Faculty of Business assignment. We went back to the location I shot Matt at in the very first shoot to get these cover shots of Carolyn MacTavish for on of the Faculty brochures. Here are my top three from the shoot.

Wedding ~ Amber & Scott

WOW, my weddings just keep getting better and better. Now before you go thinking I am talking about my work getting better, I'm not. I am referring to the whole wedding day in itself. Great people, lots of old friends, unbelievable locations, very and I mean very little rain, man oh man what a great freaking day. We started off at the salon with the ladies, while Joel hit up the guys while I headed back to the house with the girls. The house was simply gorgeous, amazing location for an outdoor wedding. Mr & Mrs Ellis, I think you should rent that space out on a weekly basis. After that it was off to the formals with a few funky locations, then up to John Michael's to finish off the festivities. Amber & Scott, thanks for letting me share in your day, not only did I have a blast shooting you guys, but also hanging out as a friend for the better part of the day too. Brock ~ Faculty of Business v.2

Well, we had a busy week shooting for the Faculty of Business at Brock. Three days, four shoots. Fortunately that doesn't compare to the week we have ahead of us. Barry will be in Toronto shooting portraits Sunday with a couple of grad students. Then we have another portrait shoot on Tuesday in St. Catharine's, followed by two cover shoots on Wednesday. On a side note, we lost two great ladies in our lives last week. A long time friend of Amy's lost a battle with a brain tumor. She had been so strong since fining it 6 years ago, but finally succumbed to it Wednesday at lunch. Then Wednesday mid afternoon, my grandmother who was admitted to the hospital only three days after Max was born, passed away from congestive heart failure. My grandmother was an amazing lady and will always be in my memories. Funny thing is, Max wasn't supposed to be born until the Friday after she passed away. I guess it's true when they say there is a reason for everything. If it wasn't for Max being 4 weeks early, my Grandmother may not of ever been able to see him.

Wedding ~ Rebecca & Mario

Well, as always, the rain stopped just in time for us to shoot on Saturday. We started the day off at Renaissance Salon and it was raining as we were getting ready to head out. Once we arrived at Rebecca's house the skies opened up and it poured. It slowed up a little by the time we got to the church which gave everyone a decent chance at getting in the church with out getting soaked. Once the ceremony was over, we went out side and nothing but blue skies. We headed on down to Beacon Harbour & the Vineland Experimental farms to do a few shots, then hustled on up to MacMaster for some more. By the time we left Mac and headed on to Carmen's it started to rain again, and rain, and rain. That's alright because by this time we were done outside for the night and could concentrate on shooting the party. Here are a few shots from the day, and what a great day it was. Thanks again to Rebecca & Mario, you guys are troopers, and the the crew at Stillmotion, you guys were great to work with, I'll post a few candids of ya'll later today.

Brock ~ Faculty of Business

Well, Assignment #1, shoot #1 is out of the gates. Pretty simple assignment so far, doing some portraits of some Grads & Undergrads from the Brock School of Business. My first assignment was with Matt Wegener. Funny thing is, I grew up with Matt back in the days, we use to skate together in the late 80's until they moved off our street. Anyways, her are a few images from the shoot today. The last one is my favourite, "business for dummies", too funny. The nice thing about the work I will be doing with Brock is that they want my creativeness to shine. Lots of off camera lighting and fun angles. There will be much more to come in the next month or two.

It's a Boy ~ pt.2

Well, Max (who's official name is now Max Kieran Denham) is still in the St. Catahrines General trying to get all 100% healthy so he can come home to us. He is still trying to get rid of this Jaundice things, it's such a pain. Ah well at least he is getting a geat tan while he is there. Other than that he's eating great and super alert. Hopefuly he will be home mid week if not earlier. Here are a few shots of him getting a tan.

It's A Boy

Well, Sunday June 28th at 7:30pm, approximately 4 weeks earlier than expected, my lovely wife Amy gave birth to our second son Max Denham who weighed in at 6lbs 11oz and measured 20" long. We deliberated for 24hrs whether or not we needed to go to the hospital, but Saturday night at Merrittville with Lucas kept us from going in yesterday. So this morning we decided to drop Lucas off with his Nanny and go get checked out. Sure as shooting, we were having a baby. Anyways, as always, here are a few pictures for all our friends and family from all of the world.

Number 2 of 5, e-sessions that is. Last weekends weather put us behind a bit, but that's alright because the weather last night in Burlington was brilliant. We met up with Melanie & Derrick downtown at Village Square, then headed off to the lake shore for some more photo's. Finally we ended up at RC's for some ice cream & floats. Talk about fun, and what a great place to shoot. I love new places, thanks so much you guys for bringing us out here, it's definitely gonna be a go to spot for me in the future.

I have to admit, I am really excited about this. The proposal took longer than normal because of the amount of photographers that applied for the position. There are officially five of us working for the school, all offering different aspects and styles of photography. I am really looking forward to unleashing some of my creative ideas and providing the school with one of the kind work. I will keep you all updated, more information will be passed on to me on or before July 6th, 2009. I was given the list of the other four photographers I will be working with, and all I can say is I am in with some amazing shooters. Fortunately two of them I have always looked to for mentoring and advice throughout my career and to be working with them is such an honour for me.

So, at Michelle & Peter's wedding on Saturday I had this great idea to mount a remote camera behind the minister facing the procession. Simple train of thought, everytime I take a picture, my Pocket Wizards trigger the remote. The great thing about this was the church was absolutely gorgeous & it was a full on catholic mass. So 1 full hour and 514 pictures later, with the addition of one kick A$$ song this is what I came up with.

Wedding ~ Michelle & Peter

Well, not much I can say about this wedding, except WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The day started early with the laddies at Swank, and I mean early ..... cough ..... 6:00am ..... cough. The rest of the day went off without a hitch. The church was amazing. we stopped at Botanical Gardens for well as pictures, as well as a few other choice locations. Finally back to John Michael's where there was so much food, drinks, and partying one did not know what to do. Hope the two of you have a great time in Aruba, and we'll see you in 10 days.

All week long, all we kept hearing was how Saturday was going to be the worst day for weather on the long weekend. Well, with a little luck, some good timing, and the fact that it just plain does not rain when I shoot, the bad weather held off. I started off in the morning with the ladies at the salon while Joel was with the guys down in NOTL. We did the church thing, spent a few minutes at Station #3 out in the west end and then headed over to Rockway Glenn to play with Janet's amazing veil and the wind, then settled in for the rest of the evening. Shoooting ~ A few things this past weekend

Well, this weekend was beyond busy, both work & personally. I had to cover the 2009 OHL Priority Selection (Draft) for the Niagara IceDogs, OHL, HHOF & St. Catahrines Standard. I also had a trip to Barrie for my Grandparents 65th anniversary and fired of a few candid photo's, as well as a few portraits I was spontaneously roped into. Ok, so every once in a while opportunity tends to knock, and I have always been told to answer the door at no matter what cost. Well, 10 days ago I got a phone call from my Step Dad Peter asking if I was interested in doing a quick little weekend trip down to Disney World. Well, me being the kind of person I am said HECK YEAH! SO off to the doctors to get some Larazapan(it helps me fly, and if you know me I hate flying) and then hop on an O'l Jet Blue Embraer 190 for a short 2 hour flight south. So anyways we get here and it's beautiful 30 degree weather, some clouds but hey it ain’t home. Today, being Saturday, we decided to go to Disney but were told we had to be there by 7:30. Well me being a Disney geek knew the park wasn't open till 9 so something was up. We pulled up to the Grand Floridian at 7:30 am to be met by Dan, who is the Executive Dir. of sale for Walt Disney resorts & Kim who works for Dan. Dan and Peter do a lot of work together so Dan decided to give us a true Disney experience. He introduced up to Kevin who would be our personal chaperone for the remainder of the day.....sweet.....no lines anywhere. We headed to the park at about 8ish thinking what a great time to get a few shots, which of course I did of an empty Main St and Cinderella's Castle. A few minutes later, we were greeted by Regina, a photographer and she asked all of us to head over there.....when I looked over there I saw Mickey mouse, all by himself waiting for a personal greeting with Lucas. Ahhhhh! Finally some Lucas time. We went the other day to do a photo shoot with the little guy. It's been a while and seeing as I am trying to go in a different direction with my style these days, I figured he would make a great test subject. A lot of photographers these days are using "off camera flash" and it's becoming the style d'jour very quickly. As much as I like it, and believe me I really like it when it is done right, I wanted to start developing a style with the use of the light that is available to me. I will never lose off camera flash because there is so much you can do with it, especially when you know what you are doing, but available light to me captures the moment as it's meant to be. Very "late 70's Polaroid picture-ish on a beach in Florida that is being used as an Abercrombie ad" if that makes any sense. Anyways, here are a few of the shots we ended up with over two days of shooting, hope you enjoy.

Commercial ~ Goin to the Dogs

Saturday I headed up to do some shooting at the 2009 Toronto Sportsmen's Show. I had two jobs this day, one was to shoot some candids for the show promoters, and two was to grab a few shots of the 2009 Gold Whistle Retriever Trials (I had a friend running his dog in them). The candids shots are boring, as always, but I did add a few at the end that I liked. They Retriever shots are below as well. On a side not, shooting fast paced dogs in a dimly lit arena is much harder than shooting hockey. But to start things off I also grabbed a few shots of the Big Air Dog Jump, enjoy. Wedding ~ Celia & D'Arcy

I spent Saturday with Celia & D'Arcy at the Casablanca Winery Inn, in Grimsby. This was a great location, everything on site that you need to shoot. Large winding staircases, gorgeous wall treatments, what more could you ask for. These two were ready for just about anything, and even though time was a little short, they did everything they could to get some amazing photos. Here are just a few from the day, hope ya'll enjoy.

Hockey ~ Memorial Arena, The end of an Era

On Sunday March 1st, the Niagara IceDogs defeated the Ottawa 67's in what is to be the Last Major Junior hockey game played at the Niagara Falls Memorial Arena. It was built in 1950 and will be torn down as a new arena will be built on the other side of the city. Both the OHL's Niagara Falls Flyer's & Thunder played out of this arena with many players going on to have great career's in the NHL. Below are a few of my favourite images from the game, with a cool time lapse video at the end.

Wedding ~ Brenda & Jeff

I had the pleasure this weekend of seeing the Mother of one of my couples get married. Last summer I shot TJ & Jacquies beautiful wedding out at Hernder's Estate Winery, and was approached by TJ's mother Brenda to do her wedding. Well the big day finally came, and Brenda & Jeff tied the knot at the Marriott in Niagara Falls. As usual, it was a blast as you can see from the last shot. Brenda looked absolutely gorgeous, and Jeff was equally up to task. Can't wait till the rest of the kids tie the knot to spend some more great times with this amazing family.

Wedding ~ Rebecca & Mark

Well, 2009 is now upon us and our first wedding of the year went of with out a hitch. In fact, this was one of the nicest locations I have had the opportunity to shoot at. I have done receptions at the Pillar & Post before, but never spent an entire day shooting. Rebeca & Mark are from Aurora and spent the weekend down here, so we arrived at 9:30am to spend some time with Rebecca & her gorgeous mother getting their hair and makeup done. After that, it was on to some detail shots throughout the spa, then finally some time with the bride and fabulous groom Mark. The ceremony was later in the day so we opted to get all our shots done prior to it while we stall had amazing light to work with. So without further aideau, here are the first shots of 2009

Hockey ~ World Junior Championships

5D MKII Test ~ Hi-Def Video

So to add some more info to this discussion, I decided to upload the first video I shot with the 5D. I am by no means a video guy, but I do know how to work a video camera, and let me be very blunt "THIS IS NOT A CAMCORDER". This is simply a camera that can shoot hidef video. If you want to shoot anything that is constantly moving, good luck using manual focus and staying sharp. Having to use the viewfinder to see what you are recording is terrible. Imagine having to shoot video looking like Uncle Bob with his P&S at the last wedding you were at, because believe me that is what you will look like. There are already many add-ons and gadgets to turn this in to a camcorder, but to be honest I would rather drop the $$$$ on a real one that shoots only video. Many people have thought this will revolutionize how multi media is shot with the press, having to use only one camera, but personally I don't think it will cut it (at least not for the big guys). It will take way too much time to set up, focus, and make sure you have the shot. The 5D MKII may cut it for smaller media outlets, wedding photographer, the high end hobbiest or rich uncle Bob, but not for the serious multi media shooter. 5D MKII Test ~ high ISO

OK, so I decided to put the 5D MKII through the ringer with a nice "first shoot" test. What better way to do this than by putting her into the net, that's right, into the netcam it went. I did one quick photo to show you that has had some post processing done to it, so here ya go. Overall I was impressed with the iso sensitivity, this shot was at iso6400 f5.6 1/500th in a dimly lit hockey arena. The noise needed a little tuning in Noise Ninja, but the original file is definately "paper" usable. Stay tuned, more to come in the next few days.

OK, so there is snow on the ground, and it is nearing December, which in St. Catharines means two things. One, Wedding season is slowly coming to a halt as we finish up all our albums, and two, hockey season is now in full swing. I figured I would post a few shots from the recent ADT Canada - Russia Challenge (Canada won 3-2), but there will be much more to come over the next few months with game from the OHL, NHL, and World Juniors.

Christmas Came Early

It's my new canvas prints that I ordered, it must be CRAZY CANVAS time.

So I decided to hang them on my wall and see how they look.

I also decided to take a few shots of my nice cozy home office.

Now all I need is my new Macbook Pro, and I'll be all set.

OK, so third times a charm, and yes, this is my third time being late with this post. I have been extremely busy, trying to get all my albums done for X-mas and it's looking like I will. In the meantime, check out the latest edition of the Top Five

2011 World Juniors ~ Are you kidding me, this is like the biggest news ever. the World Juniors are coming to Buffalo, 20 min's down the road. tickets are going for $800 (lower bowl) for all 17 games at HSBC, and $400 for upper bowl. If I wasn't shooting it, I'd have tickets for sure.

New Macbook Pro ~ What a sleek new design. I was at Mac Outpost just the other day checking these bad boys out, can't wait to get one under the Christmas tree. The great thing about them, Mac has made 24" LED Cinema Displays that connect via magsafe cables. it's as easy as plug and dis-PLAY.

Canon VIXIA HG21 ~ Finally my old JVC HDD camcorder is getting replaced with this new bad boy. Full on hi-def video with CODEC capable of recording 24Mbps. This is going to bring a new (but small) dimension to work.

The Trews ~ Another good old bunch of Canadian Boys rockin' hard. their latest hit "Hold Me in Your Arms" is on constant rotation on my ipod, I think Lucas even knows the words by now.

Chase Jarvis ~ Everybody wants to be somebody, me....I want to be Chase Jarvis. This guys absolutely rocks as a photographer. I have featured a few of videos on her before, but go check out his site, it will amaze you.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a very special day to me. I had both my Grandfather's fight in WWII, and live to tell me stories about it. Both have different beginning's, but similar endings. My one Grandfather flew the sky's with the RCAF, while my other Grandfather fought in the trench's on the front line. Both kept their loved ones in mind the whole time they were in battle, and both were able to come back to them. Along with my Grandfather's I have had a few friends who have fought in recent wars as well, and returned home once their tour of duty was over.

I get asked all the time, "how do you do it, how do you deal with brides on their wedding day". It seems like such a silly question though, when you compare it to "how did you do it, how did you go head to head with someone who's goal was to kill you". It makes you think about our lives, how easy they really are, yet how complicated we tend to make them.

To all the men and women who have served to protect our country and give us our freedom, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without your services, I would not be able to have such a beautiful life with Amy & Lucas. To Grandpa Lewis, thank you for what you have given me, both my freedom and your stories. To my Grandpa Denham, thank you as well for my freedom, and the stories. To my friends who have served, thank you for having the courage at such a young age to do something that I don't think I would ever be able to do.

So at 11:11am this morning, please take some time out of your day to remember all those who have served to give us our freedom. Lest we forget.

E-Session ~ Sarah & Derek

Hallow's Eve

Last night Amy & I took Lucas out for Hallowe'en. Even though this was his 3rd Hallowe'en, this was the first one where he really knew what was going on. We visited all of our family & friends throughout St. Catharine's, and even made a stop at the fire hall to take a few pic's. I hope everyone had a safe Hallowe'en.

Top 5ive for September

OK, so again, yes I know I am a little late with my Top 5, but this ones a good one, so enjoy.

1. Canon 5D MKII ~ This is going to be one crazy camera when I get my hands on it. At first I was a little disappointed with the specs that Canon released, but after further review (hands on that is) this thing ROCKS. If you want to see what it can do, hit up this link .

2. BlackBerry Storm ~ Finally, something to look forward to in the cell phone dept for us Bell users. I had previously mentioned the Samsung Instinct but bell does not consider it a smart phone. Well the Storm is beyond smart, it's freakin' brilliant. With an unofficial release date of sometime in mid November, this is going to be a nice early Christmas present for yours truely.

3. Steve Madden & Robert Graham ~ OK, go ahead and give me the gears, but what can i say, I love to shop. These two designers have been tops on my list for the last little while, and all I can say is I can't wait to show off the new threads in the 2009 wedding season.

4. Kings of Leon ~ Thanks to my loving wife Amy for this one. I had never heard of them before she caught one of their vid's on Much. So she hit up iTunes and next thing ya know, we have a new favourite band. Their recent album release ’Only By The Night’ hit #1 on iTunes Canada, I mean how could it not with songs like sex on fire, use somebody, and crawl.

5. Tanja Lippert ~ Not much to say here, excepy WOW! Check out tje link to see some more than amazing images.

Wedding ~ Melissa & Jordan

OK, honestly could you have had better weather than we did on Saturday, in October. Sunny, a few clouds and 20 degrees, I mean come on. It made for an absolutely prefect day to get married, and Melissa & Jordan did. These guys were completely into each other, as well as the photo's. We had a blast touring Welland, I had never shot there before, so I was like a kid in a playground. Thanks guys, you made the day great, here's a few shots to tie you over.

We decided to take Lucas to the "Touch a Truck" show at Niagara College, it was a great day with all proceeds going toward the purchase of books for the Ontario Early Years Centres' literacy program. Wedding & TV ~ Jonny & Judy's Wedding Extravaganza

OK, so I really do not know where to start with this one. It was a great day from start to finish. Had not only myself shooting but also my two assistants Joel & Barry. The day started off at Inn on the Twenty in Jordan with the lady's getting ready. We then moved down to Balls Falls For the rest of the day, with the exception of 1 quick little trip (see photos). The crew from Rich Bride, Poor Bride was on hand as well to capture the big day. Anyways, enough of my ramblin', I let the photo's do the talking.

Wedding ~ Stephanie & Paul

WOW, could we have asked for a better day on Saturday. I think the consensus with every photographer I talked with around here completely agreed. However, along with the weather, I got to head up to Greystone Golf Club which had to be one of the most picturesque settings to shoot. Stephanie and Paul had this place done up to perfection with an outdoor ceremony and gorgeous hall. Here are a few pictures from the day, enjoy.

OK, so first out of the block is Chase Jarvis. Man, I just love watching this guys work, the images he produces are simply amazing. Check out his latest behind the scenes shoot for the Kung Fu HD network.

Now, video two, which is pretty much the birth of a new era in photography. This video was shot on the new Canon 5DII. This Camera is going to make a big splash when it final comes to store. Wedding ~ Kate & Brian

Last Saturday, all be it a rainy one, I had a great time hanging out with Kate and Brian. Their wedding day went off without a hitch, again with the exception of the rain. We started off with the boys going for a little sail on Lake Ontario, spent some time with the girls back at Kate's Mom's house, and finally finished the party off at the Pillar & Post.

TV ~ Rich Bride, Poor Bride shoot

OK, so as I mentioned in earlier posts, last Saturday was going to be my first taping of a spot on Rich Bride, Poor Bride. We headed out to Cortland, Ontario to shoot at GoPHER DUNES. I don't want to spoil the show, so I am not telling you any of the scenario, but if you are smart you may be able to figure it out from the following few pics.

TOP 5 for auGuST

OK, so I know it's a tad bit late, and believe it or not I have been getting email's asking me where August's top five list is. It has been a busy month shooting as well as vacationing, and on top of the the Niagara IceDogs have started up again. So with no further adieu I give you August's Top 5

1. Think Tank Photo, and more specifically the Airport Security V.2. Man this thing kicks but, hauls all my gear in one gigantic roller, and is faa compliant for overhead storage on domestic flights. It has been around for a while, but I finally got off my but and got one, my assistants love me so much for this purchase. No more carrying bags, just rolling them now.

2. Nike, yup that's right the big shoe conglamorate. I picked myself up a pair of Nike Air - Series 6C kicks and they rock. I wore these things around all the Disney Parks and they didn't flinch, 100% comfort for the whole trip. I don;t usually put Nike's on my feet, but these things deserve some serious props.

3. Sam Roberts Band, they have been back for a bit now since the release of "Them Kids", but don't let the experience stop there. The whole album is a great Canadian rock album from start to finish. This one is on the ipod now and I love every song on it. Go out and buy it or download it and support Canadian rock.

4. Amelia Lyon, look out, these two have some serious talent. If you want to see some amazing pictures, that I swear are one of a kinds, check out their blog. On top of their amazing work, they were also voted Blu Domains "Photographer(s) of the Year", and well deserved.

5. Rich Bride - Poor Bride, last but not least, I have to add these guys to the mix, why? Well because I am going to be featured on one of the upcoming episodes of course. I mentioned way back in the first "top 5" list that there were some things in the works. Well we film my part this coming Saturday, and I am sure I will have a few behind the scenes photos to share with you on the blog come next week, so keep your eyes peeled.

Wedding ~ Lindsay & Jamie

OK, so back to reality. I just got home from vacation, and I promised myself that with in 24 hours of returning, I would get to posting images from the last wedding I did before vacay. Unfortunately it has been 27.5 hours since I got home but who's counting. I had the pleasure of shooting at Lindsay & Ryan in Toronto all day last Aug 23, and it was a blast. We hung out at their house with the guys, and at the Westin Prince with the Ladies. The ceremony took place at Donaldo G&CC which if I might say was absolutely pristine. Here's a few pics from the day.

OK, so Wednesday was spent shopping, playing at the pool, doing the spa and having dinner with friends. So because of the relaxing day, I put away the camera (for the most part) and just relaxed. Florida ~ Part II, Animal Kingdom & Epcot

Day 2 is now in the books. We started out at Animal Kingdom in the morning so we could make sure to see all the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari. Then it was home for a nap before heading out to Epcot for the longest dinner in the world (2hrs spent finding a place just to eat) and then we sat back and watched Illuminations, an amazing fireworks show to close out the day.

Florida ~ Part I, the return to Magic Kingdom

OK, so with the flight past us and one day already down in FLO Rida, it was time to head out to the Magic Kingdom. Before we go any further though, I must say that I am working from a computer that is not mine, and from programs that are not mine, so please don't mind the shotty post processing. So with out any further adieu, here are a few shots from our, I mean, Lucas' first day at Disney.

Just Shooting

Last weekend Amy, Lucas, and Myself headed up to Kemble, Ontario which is just outside Owen Sound for a little R&R. It was a much needed break from our hectic schedule. Being a photographer, you know the camera was going to come with, which was great because I could shoot whatever I want, whenever I wanted. Here are a few shots from our time away.

OK so I am a little slow off the mark here but it was a super busy weekend for yours truly. Two weddings and a trip to the Hospital with the little guy has put me behind by a day, ah well. So wedding #1 was Jacquie & TJ, or as I like to refer to them as, 'super clients'. These guys do it all, and make doing it so freaking easy. We were out at Hernder's Estate Winery all day, and had some amazing weather to work with, the clouds were just way to dramatic, the sunset absolutely brilliant, and... well you get the point. Now go check out the pics to see what I am talking about.

This past Saturday Joel and I spent all day with one Ms. Jen Elia and one Mr. Kenneth Groves, who merged to finally become the almighty "KENIFFER" (sorry guys I had too). As usual the day was perfect, save a few minutes of rain, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it forced us to move inside to the Fallsview Casino for a few amazing shots. TOP five 4 jUly

It's that time of the month again, yup you guessed it. IT'S TOP 5 TIME. This months list is compiled of some great products, shooters and music. Let's get things started off.

1. Pictage
So happy to be a member. These guys are absolutely fantastic at what they do. My work just became so much more streamlined thanks to them. Oh! and the products they offer, WOW wait till you see the new albums. Keep your eye's peeled for some product sample shots once they get in.

2. The 2008 Niagara Wine Auction
Once again, I had the honor of being the official photographer for this gala event. Unfortunately I did have a wedding on the Saturday so I had my friend Charity Swords cover Saturday's events for me. I did how ever get a chance to stop by Friday and hob nob with some of Niagara's best. Oh and I got to meet Jason Priestly, ya that's right I am such a closet 90210 fan.

3. Boda Bag
Yay, this bag ROCKS and that's all I have to say. i was turned on to this bag by my good friend and fellow shooter Amanda Lachapelle when she second shot for me. Now thanks to her I am the proud owner of a Boda Jr. My assistants are so gonna love me for this purchase.

4. Kid Rock
He is back, and rocking again. His latest release "All Summer Long" is such a typical Kid Rock song, ya gotta love it. Whether he's watchin the D-Wings during their Stanley Cup run or trying to get back in Pam's good book, this guy is truly the All American Bad Ass, and ya gotta love him for it.

5. Jesh de Rox
Words can't say enough about this guy. Simply hit up the link and let his images do the talking. Again, I thank god Jesh lives so far way.

Wedding ~ Alyson & Lawrie

Well, again it rained Saturday, but not during pictures so someone was clearly looking out for these two. Alyson and I go way back to high school so it was a treat to shoot her wedding day. She found a great Scotsman in Lawrie, but then again what Scotsman isn't great. We started off at Valvano's Salon & Spa then headed down to Navy Hall in Niagara on the Lake. There is just something about a wedding party getting pictures taken in Old Town with hundreds of people watching. Have a great honeymoon you two, and hopefully we'll see you back on this side of the Atlantic soon.

The big day is approaching fast, and I can't wait to get more shots of this gorgeous couple.

Wedding ~ Mary Beth & Klass

What do you get when you take one part Cabbagetown, one part U of T, and one part Delta Chelsea, one part gorgeous weather, and one part amazing couple. A absolutely fantastic day to shoot a wedding in Toronto, that's what. I also had the honor of having the amazingly talented Amanda Lachapelle second shoot for, so what more could I ask for, maybe no traffic on the way home but what can you do! Mary Beth looked absolutely stunning on her big day, Klass you are a lucky man. These two had so much love for each other, they actually brought me to tears at certain points during the day. I wish the two of you all the best, and remember, If you are ever in Niagara, stop in for a drink at the local 'Duke'

p.s. Leslie, if you read this post, I'm still crying right now! So don't forget to call me when you get married.

E-Session ~ Kate & Brian

Last Sunday I hung out with Kate & Brian in the picturesque town of Queenston. It was a last minute change of venue for Kate & Brian's E-Session, and what a great change it was. As we were shooting Kate told me she actually grew up in Queenston, so this couldn't have been better. Ahh! with the exception of the light rain that decided to show up right near the end of the shoot. Oh well, at least it cooled us all off at the end of a hot day.

Wedding ~ Ben & Marlene

I had the pleasure of shooting Ben & Marlene's wedding last Saturday, what a blast. It called for rain all day long, and we got lucky not even seeing a drop during photos. We started off at Renaissance Salon & Spa in the morning, and I actually ran in to an old friend of mine Dave Costantini who's dad has owned the salon since 1998. After the salon we headed back to the hotel and then to the church. We decided to go down to Decew Falls for formals and had a blast. Ben & Marlene, all the best and we'll see you in 2 months at the Jack!

They have some really great features and products I will now be offering my clients, so the arsenal has been substantially upgraded. Yup that's right I'm a SYTYCD junkie. Cat Deeley, Nigel Lythgoe, & Ms Mary Murphy are all back for season 4. Twitch & Kherington are clearly my early favourites, but keep an eye out for Chelsea & Will as well. On a side note, season 2 of America's Best Dance Crew has started, this show would be much better if they got rid of Mario Lopez, JC Chasez, & L'il Kim.

2. Alex Pietrangelo ~ http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=11513
Way to go Petro, taken #4 overall by the St. Louis Blues in last Fridays 2008 NHL draft. Keep an eye out for this kid, he will be a big name in the show within the next few years. Props go out to local boy Daultan Leveille as well who was taken 29th overall by the Predators.

Another new vendor to add to the list. I am so looking forward to working with these guys, i can't wait to get my gallery samples in. These guys make some absolutely gorgeous canvas gallery wraps, that anyone would love to get a hold of.

They're back, and in full force. Topping the charts with their new album release "Viva la Vida" these guys rock. The title track "viva la vida" and "violet hill" are currently in my play list and getting air play all over the world. How ever, give a listen to track #2 "cemeteries of London" and track #9 "Strawberry Hill".

Again, another great husband & wife team (Amy pay attention) based out of Vancouver, BC. I definitely pull a lot of inspiration from these guys, their work is amazing and shows why they were voted as one of the Top 10 wedding photographers on the planet by American Photo.
